the captain had chosen the wrong because he disobeyed the rules that he was supposed to follow therefore, the cruise had hit a rock on the ocean and caused the boat to sink and people died. while the tragic was happening he also chose the wrong by letting him self go out the boat first, which he is supposed to be last!
